Dear Present Me,
Five years from now, I want to thank you.
I want to thank you for your strength. Even when you felt lost, overwhelmed, hurt, or uncertain, you always found your way forward.
Life was not always easy. There were moments when relationships were difficult, work was stressful, and the future felt unclear. There were times when you doubted yourself and wondered if you were making the right decisions.
But you kept going.
You learned that you didn’t need to have all the answers. You just needed to take the next step. Somehow, every time life presented a challenge, you figured it out. Not because you were fearless, but because you were resilient.
I want to thank you for continuing to learn, grow, and evolve. For being willing to reflect, apologize when needed, set boundaries when needed, and keep becoming a better version of yourself.
I want to thank you for not abandoning yourself while caring for everyone else.
You loved deeply. You worked hard. You showed up for your children. You kept moving forward even on days when nobody could see how heavy things felt.
Most of all, thank you for trusting yourself.
You have always been more capable than you realized. Time and time again, you found a way through challenges that once seemed impossible.
Keep believing in yourself. You have a long history of surviving difficult seasons and creating a meaningful life from them.
With gratitude,
Your Future Self
